Login or switch to the Brains user. 2. Open the file **/var/lib/brains/.brainspace/brainspace.properties**. > [!NOTE] > **Note** > > Create this file if it does not exist. 3. Create/edit the **inactive.session.timeout= property** (in minutes), and then change the value. 4. Restart the services, as the root user, by running **systemctl restart brainspace-platform**. > [!NOTE] > **Note** > > Restarting services requires root User privilege. 5. Users will need to login after changes are made and Tomcat is restarted. > [!WARNING] > Important > > Please remember making the idle session timeout value greater than 15 minutes (default) is not recommended due to security concerns. ## Related - [Postgres SSL Setup](/postgres-ssl-setup.md) - [Manage Passwords and Accounts](/manage-passwords-and-accounts.md) - [How to Setup a Relativity® Plus Connector](/how-to-setup-a-relativity-plus-connector.md) - [Relativity® Plus Connector - Advanced Options Explained](/relativity-plus-connector-advanced-options-explained.md)
