# Download a Native Document

Native documents must be presented to Brainspace within the /data/brainspace/ directory structure to be ingested. Native documents can be viewed and downloaded individually or in bulk in the Brainspace Document Viewer as long as they continue to reside in that location.

> Your browser must allow popups to download native documents from Brainspace.

To download a single native document:

1. Click **Conversations**.

2. The Conversations window will open.
3. In the People pane, click a **Person/Alias**.

4. All documents associated with the person or alias will display in the Emails pane.
5. In the Emails pane, click a **document**.

The document will open in the Document Viewer.
6. In the Document Viewer ribbon, click the **Download Native Document** button.

7. The native document will download to your local machine.
