Upgrading

Important

Before upgrading, users are strongly encouraged to perform a manual backup of their data.

Brainspace 7.x

To make upgrades faster and easier, the Brainspace 7 backup process has been decoupled from the upgrade process. In previous versions of Brainspace, the upgrade script automatically backed up user data. This is no longer the case. Proceeding without a manual backup could result in unrecoverable data loss if the upgrade encounters issues.

Brainspace 6.x

Brainspace version 7.1.1 must first be installed. Afterwards, the 6.x instance can be migrated. Those processes are described in the following articles:
