Release Date: 7/30/2026

Overview of Key Features

Duplicate Propogation

  • Duplicate propagation is now displayed as its own processing task instead of running within the hidden Finalizing phase, providing greater visibility into processing progress. Duplicate propagation copies processing results, such as extracted text and metadata, from an original document to its exact duplicates, eliminating the need to fully process duplicate files. This improves processing efficiency while reducing resource usage. For projects with a large number of duplicate files, duplicate propagation may take noticeable time to complete. During this time, the processing job remains In Progress, and the Duplicate Propagation column displays the current progress. If processing is paused and later resumed, duplicate propagation continues from where it left off rather than restarting.

PROC-8878

Update

Environment

Optimized QC job finalization by consolidating the workflow and moving duplicate propagation into a dedicated processing task. This provides visibility into propagation progress and allows jobs to be paused and resumed without restarting the operation, improving the reliability of large processing jobs and reducing stalls during finalization.

PROC-8709

Update

Processing

The DuplicateDateAdded field has been moved from the Files table to the ProcessingStatus table, and the corresponding column has been removed from the Files table as part of the database schema update. The LiveDataOverlay feature continues to function as expected and has been updated to use the DuplicateDateAdded field from the ProcessingStatus table.

PROC-8821

Fix

Deduplication

Addressed an issue where email child counts would become inconsistent during duplicate inline attachment deduplication, causing ExpectedChildCount values to differ from ChildCount values.

PROC-8010

Fix

Export

Added the ability to view selections from completed exports when the number of custodians or imports exceeds the visible UI limit. Completed export selections remain read-only and displayed as expected while allowing users to review the full selection details without modifying or copying the content.

PROC-9207

Fix

Export

Fixed RSMF export chunking to scope 24-hour chunk documents to the individual source RSMF file. Exports no longer include events from other RSMF files or previous import jobs, even when EventCollectionID or ConversationID values are shared. Processing order also no longer affects chunking, ensuring each RSMF file is exported independently.

PROC-9209

Fix

Export

Corrected an issue where invalid timestamps in RSMF threads would cause threaded messages to be omitted from 24-hour chunk exports. Threaded messages are now rendered correctly even when a child message has a timestamp earlier than its associated parent message.

PROC-7173

Fix

Export

Fixed an issue where custom dedupe scopes could fail because the ExportInReview column was not returned by the s_ExportsNotInScope stored procedure, resulting in errors during export processing.

PROC-8553

Fix

Export

Resolved an issue where generating an Export Summary with a Selective Set scope, No Deduplication selected, and Document Level unchecked would cause Discovery Manager to become unresponsive and eventually crash.

PROC-8469

Fix

Export

Addressed an issue where export jobs would still be created when the job name exceeded the maximum allowed length. In some cases, the system displayed a validation error but created the export job in the background, causing it to remain in a hung state and potentially impacting application functionality.

PROC-8652

Fix

Export

Fixed an issue where Custodian, Collection Location, and Source metadata did not consistently propagate during Export. In some cases, values were incorrectly inherited from adjacent folders.

PROC-8698

Fix

Export

Fixed an bug where the NSF Handling field was not preserved when applying a Natives Only export template. When a template was saved with NSF Handling set to “Responsive NSF (Original Folders)”, applying the template to a new export would incorrectly revert this setting to a different default value, even though all other settings were retained correctly.

PROC-7855

Fix

Export

Improved performance of DAT table population, resulting in faster execution times.

PROC-8773

Fix

Export

The export behavior has been corrected for Discovery Manager when using a Custom Deduplication Scope that includes previous exports. Attachments associated with parent items that have already been deduplicated are now also correctly deduplicated and excluded from subsequent exports, preventing unexpected export overlap prompts and duplicate documents from being included in later exports.

PROC-8818

Fix

Export

The email export process has been updated to eliminate unnecessary RTF Sync Error messages in Error Explorer. Exports now complete successfully without logging the “RTF Sync Error, Whitespace Appended to HTML Body” informational entries.

PROC-8575

Fix

Export

The export issue that caused the error message, “There is already an object named 'DatTable001_STATIC' in the database,” has been resolved.

PROC-7690

Fix

Export

Addressed an issue where duplicate processing indexing and export jobs would be created when an import was paused, stalled, or recovered during finalization. Job creation now occurs only after the import successfully completes, preventing duplicate and orphaned jobs.

PROC-8746

Fix

Export

Resolved an issue where temporary changes made while creating an export from an existing template would overwrite the original template, even when Continue without saving was selected. Export templates now retain their original configuration unless the user explicitly chooses to save changes.

PROC-8558

Fix

Export

Fixed an issue where, after an Imaging job, the Australian Protocol export wrote image paths to a network processing folder instead of S3.

PROC-8847

Fix

Import

Fixed a bug where DTSearch indexing during import would fail with a foreign key constraint violation when an invalid or missing index reference was used. Import indexing now correctly uses a valid index reference, allowing extracted text indexing to complete successfully and preventing per-document foreign key errors.

PROC-8550

Fix

Import

Resolved a bug where archive attachments inside MSG emails failed to extract child items when the same archive had previously been processed in the same project as a standalone import.

PROC-8404

Fix

Import

Fixed a bug where the Project/Text Path would appear excessively long due to two paths being incorrectly concatenated. The path is now displayed correctly as a single, valid path.

PROC-8351

Fix

Import

Resolved an issue where the segmented L01/EnCase imports would fail or log path-related errors due to inconsistent use of LongFileIO and System.IO file operations when processing deeply nested extracted paths. Archive processing now uses consistent long-path file handling, allowing affected imports to complete successfully.

PROC-5863

Fix

Import

A bug in HTML native rendering where the RSMF Short Message output header incorrectly displayed “Chanty Messages” has been corrected. The header now correctly displays “Messages.”

PROC-8405

Fix

Import

Resolved an issue where some PDFs that could be opened without a password were incorrectly flagged as encrypted due to additional security settings.

PROC-8763

Fix

Import

Fixed an issue where the Extension field for embedded items and attachments was incorrectly populated with portions of the import path. The field now displays only a valid file extension when one exists and remains blank when no valid extension is available.

PROC-9218

Fix

Import

Resolved an issue where RSMF threaded events sent shortly before midnight were incorrectly rounded to the next day during thread family calculations, causing messages to be assigned to the wrong thread family or treated as standalone.

PROC-9215

Fix

Import

Fixed a bug where custodian folder assignments would silently fail when the import root path was saved with a trailing slash, causing assignments to appear successful but not persist after refresh. Trailing slashes are now trimmed during import creation, folder assignments persist correctly, and appropriate assignment error messages are displayed when no folders can be assigned.

PROC-9285

Fix

Import

Corrected a bug where ExpectedChildCount was not populated for standalone .eml master and duplicate files with attachments, causing the value to remain at zero despite existing child files. ExpectedChildCount now accurately reflects the number of attachment children for both master and duplicate .eml files.

PROC-9356

Fix

Import

Fixed a bug where the ChildCount value was not populated correctly for master and duplicate files containing embedded objects.

PROC-8377

Fix

Import QC

Addressed an issue where files under QC were incorrectly flagged as “Missing Native” despite previously having valid native files.

PROC-8341

Fix

Import QC

Fixed a bug where email attachments containing nested email attachments would fail to extract their child items when hash-matched emails were processed in the same import or QC batch. Child extraction now occurs consistently during both initial import and Import QC reprocessing.

PROC-6364

Fix

Import QC

Addressed an issue where a Null error would be encountered when closing the Import QC window.

PROC-8223

Fix

Import QC

Addressed an issue where replacement files processed in QC were not removed from the Agent Temp directory after processing. Temporary files, including .rep files, are now properly cleaned up after job completion, cancellation, or QC reprocessing without requiring an agent service restart or manual intervention.

PROC-8648

Fix

Import QC

Addressed an issue where Import QC job finalization was taking an excessive amount of time due to the u_DataImportProperties stored procedure recalculating all statistics for previous import jobs. The process has been optimized to only update the necessary Duplicate Count and Size-related fields, instead of recalculating all job statistics. This change improves Import QC performance and reduces processing time during job finalization.

PROC-8702

Fix

OCR

Fixed an issue where documents that timed out during OCR processing were inconsistently assigned OCR status values and incorrectly surfaced across import jobs and selective sets. Previously, timed-out OCR files were assigned an OCR value of 3 in dbo.ProcessingFiles, causing them to appear as Completed in import jobs but as Pending in selective sets, and preventing them from being included in Pending-based filters. Additionally, reprocessing these documents did not correctly display OCR job activity. OCR timeout now correctly sets to 1 after timeout.

PROC-8704

Fix

Projects

Resolved an issue that would cause project template creation to fail with a fatal error when the deduplication setting was changed from the default value (e.g., to Project-Level Deduplication or Promote to Review). Project templates are now created and saved successfully regardless of the selected deduplication setting.

PROC-8905

Fix

Projects

Fixed an issue where certain project settings such as File Recognition Errors, Review Batch Size, and Generative Native Mismatch QC Flag were not retained when creating a project template.

PROC-3956

Fix

Reporting

Fixed an issue where generating an Upload Summary Report would result in a fatal error when an Import QC reprocessing job was running on an archive that was originally imported through an upload job.

PROC-8645

Fix

Reports

Resolved an issue in Discovery Manager projects where a fatal error occurred while generating the Upload Archive Exceptions Report. The report now generates successfully without errors.

PROC-8792

Fix

Reports

Corrected an issue where the ESI Summary report incorrectly applied deduplication even when the No Deduplication scope was selected. The report now correctly includes all documents in the selected scope without applying deduplication.

PROC-8150

Fix

Selective Sets

Resolved an issue where draft emails were not being correctly filtered.
