Meta Workplace Requirements

Meta Workplace Admin Account

In order to set up an authorized connection for Meta Workplace you will need to have an account with admin permissions within your Meta Workplace account. We recommend using a service account for this purpose.

Authorized Connection

In order to sync data using the Meta Workplace connector you must have access to an authorized connection. The administrator of your Meta Workplace account can create the authorized connection using their credentials and then share those credentials with other Onna users who have an admin role or member role with ‘Manage enterprise sources’ special permissions.

How to Connect and Collect Using Meta Workplace

Once you have access to authorized connection credentials you are able to set up a source sync using the Meta Workplace connector. To do so, follow the steps below:

Step 1

To begin setting up a sync first navigate to the ‘Workspaces’ page (a). From the ‘Workspaces’ page select the workspace you want to add a new Meta Workplace source to (b).

Step 2

Once inside the workspace click on the ‘+’ icon, in the upper right corner of the screen, to add a new source.

Step 3

You’ll now see all connectors you’re able to use to set up a new sync. From your available options, choose the ‘Meta Workplace’ connector.

Step 4

You’ll now be taken to the Meta Workpace sync workflow. The first thing you’ll do on this page is select the account (the set of authorized connection credentials) you want to use to establish the sync (a). Then, you’ll click the blue ‘Connect’ button.

Step 5

The next screen will allow you to configure your source. Click on the ‘Start date - End date’ field.

Step 6

From here select the start date (a) and end date (b) for your sync. Then, click the blue ‘Apply’ button (c).

Step 7

Back on the source configuration page click the ‘Users’ field.

Step 8

You’ll now select the users you want to add to your sync (a). You can choose to add all users or you can enter users manually.

Once you’re done adding your users click the blue ‘Apply’ button (b).

Step 9

The last step of your source configuration will be to name your source in the ‘Source name’ field (a) and then click the blue ‘Create source’ button (b).

Step 10

You’ll now see your new source sync appear inside your workspace.

You can learn more about the status of your new sync by viewing the sync summary page or sync status details from the information panel.
