What are Audit Logs?
Audit logs give Onna Admins the ability to understand user activity inside the platform. Specifically, audit logs will show users’ actions such as adding/deleting sources, syncing errors, viewing documents, and sharing. Audit logs provide an added level of security to your platform by offering visibility into user actions.
Viewing Audit Logs
To access Onna audit logs follow the steps below:
Step 1
To begin, select ‘Audit Logs’ from the navigation menu inside the Admin Console.
Step 2
From here you will be taken to the Audit Logs main page where you will see a list of logs. The list will be sorted by date, beginning with the most recent. However, each column can be sorted in ascending or descending order.
Additionally, you can filter your audit logs for a customized view by clicking in one of two places:
‘+Add filter’ above your audit logs
The ‘Filter’ icon in the upper right corner of your screen
Understanding Audit Log Filters
You are able to filter logs by:
Action
Category
Code
Date
IP Address
Time
Type
User

Filter Descriptions
Action
The Action filter will display the log for any action performed by a user within your Onna site. The actions shown include:
Access
Add
Create
Delete
Enable
Manage
Share
Sync
Update
View
Category
The category filter indicates what/where an action was taken related to the following categories:
Code
The code filter will display the log for specific audit log codes. For a comprehensive definition of audit codes please visit Audit Log Code Definitions
Date
The date filter will display a date range. To manually set a date range click 'Custom' and a calendar will pop up. Otherwise you can view logs from the follow date ranges:
Today
Yesterday
Last 7 days
Last 30 days
Last 60 days
IP Address
The IP Address filter will display logs associated with a user’s IP Address. You can manually enter a user’s IP Address or select IP Address’ from a dropdown.
Time
The time filter will display logs for a specified time range. Please note that in order to filter by time you must filter by date first.
Type
The Types filter will display logs related to the following types:
Error
Info
Success
User
The user filter will display logs related to specific users. A user name can be manually entered or selected from a dropdown list.
Downloading Audit Logs
It is possible to export audit logs for reporting and security purposes. Audit logs will download as CSV files and will include the following information: code, date, user, IP Address, Type, Category, Action, and Message. To understand more about each export field, see Understanding Audit Log Filters. To export audit logs, follow the steps below:
Step 1
To begin downloading audit logs, go to the Audit Log page of the admin console.
Step 2
Next, you’ll filter the audit logs by date and will set the date range for your download.
Step 3
After you’ve set the date for the logs you want to export, you will click on the ‘Download’ icon in the upper right corner of your screen.
Step 4
After clicking the ‘Download’ icon you’ll see that your logs have been downloaded as a .csv file.
