Labels can be manually added to a request, or routing rules can be assigned to apply labels to requests automatically. Labels are managed by admins in the Labels tab via **Settings** > ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/3e21d801-ca9f-4c51-93db-9cbd32741f3d/Images/Documentation/LPR_Labels tag_Icon.png) **Labels**. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/3e21d801-ca9f-4c51-93db-9cbd32741f3d/Images/Documentation/LPR_Labels tab_Sep26(1).png) ## Create a new label To create a new label… 1. **Label name**: Type a name for your label. 2. **Color**: Choose a label color. 3. **Available at**: Using the dropdown, choose to either use your label in **all locations**, or just one of your locations. 4. Click **Add label**. New labels are defaulted to active, but can be deactivated using the toggle. Inactive labels can still be filtered, but members will no longer be able to assign the label to requests. Inactive labels also show “(inactive)” in their name so members know they’re no longer in circulation. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Labels cannot be deleted, only deactivated.
