# Request Submission vs Request Fulfillment

There are two primary portals associated with the Logikcull for Public Records: Public Portal and Agency Portal.

## One System, Two Portals

- **Public portal** — This portal always anyone to submit a records request, receive a tracking number, and check the status of their request at any time. No account required.
- **Agency portal** — This portal enables Records officers of the agency fulfilling the request to review incoming requests, communicate with requesters, coordinate document retrieval, and release records.

When a requester submits a request, it appears immediately in the agency portal. The assigned records officer reviews it, sends an acceptance or declination, and — if accepted — coordinates document retrieval and release.
