| New | Preservation | When a custodian is unlocked or released, the system now automatically removes their account from the associated Microsoft Purview eDiscovery hold policy, aligning Purview behavior with the existing Google hold cleanup model. A new Remove Hold configuration option gives administrators control over whether the custodian is removed from the hold or the hold policy is deleted entirely. This works for both individual and bulk unlock/release scenarios, preventing orphaned holds in Purview. |
