As a user, I would like a confirmation dialog when using the remove all annotation button.

In the Document Viewer > Image view, there is a function that removes all annotations. We introduced a warning and confirmation message ‘This will remove all annotations on the current page' to that users have another chance to decide if this is indeed the action they want to take or if they want to cancel the request.

Batches - Save & Retrieve settings from template.

Added a convenience feature that allows the user to optionally store and reuse templates of Assign settings (the action for creating assignment batches) for quick and easy configuration of commonly needed Assignment scenarios by the user. A setting template stores the options selected for the Assign window, such as document source, folder name, sort fields, users/teams, among other selected Assign settings. Please note, at this time, the templates are for the current user only. (In future versions, the ability to use Assign templates across users within the project will be forthcoming.)

Create new fields for the Reviewed By / Reviewed On tracking.

This adds new fields to the database that allows for the tracking of the original user and latest user who has tagged a document with the Reviewed Status attribute set on a choice.

Grid

Reflect family-child relationship in review grid (on the fly).

Added an icon toggle in the grid’s action row for a new rendering option on the Review Grid, which shows child documents "nested under" parent documents if both the parent and the child are part of the current result set. Because this feature uses a fixed sort on FAMILYTID + ITEMID, sorting on other fields is disabled and not reflected when this toggle is on. When the toggle is off, all grid sorting functionality returns to normal. (The setting does not by itself create search expansion by family, a feature that already exists in the search builder and changes the volume of results. The user can manually use the EXPAND BY... pill settings, if desired.) The effect of this toggle is re-arranging the order of the returned results to show the parent-child relationship, but shouldn’t affect the number of results.

Heatmap - Save & Retrieve settings from template.

Added a convenience feature that allows the user to store and retrieve templates of Heatmap settings for quick and easy configuration of common heatmaps needed by the user. A setting template stores the options selected, such as fields or search terms, for the rows and columns, along with other applicable settings. Please note, at this time, the templates are for the current user only. In future versions, the ability to use heatmap templates across users will be forthcoming.

Add function to helper menu that allows field selection.

New convenience feature to allow users to search for and insert the exact field names in RQL in the Advanced Keyword dialog window. Users can access the helper menu via the {} icon on the right, or by typing ~ to start searching field names. Search can be performed by the display field name (App Name) and also by exact field name (APP_DESC_INDEX), but only the exact field name will be inserted in the RQL query.

Tagging

As a user, I would like to be able to see all coding rules logic without having to click into each rule.

In the Project Admin > Tags > Rules area, there is now the ability to see a summary of the tagging rule describing the conditions and generated from the conditions. This allows the user to quickly see the rule definitions without opening the full rule editing window for each rule.

Display link to Review on Admin tab navigation bar.

As a convenience feature, the navigation menu within the Project Admin section has new menu option labeled "Review," which will allow the user to go back to the Review Grid, or the last-used similar view, such as Dashboard, or Cluster Wheel.

Update R11 Connector to use Job information instead of import batches and read text from ElasticSearch.

Added multiple optimizations to the document ingestion pipeline to improve performance and add additional advanced configuration options. Improved memory footprint and multi-threading logic during full-text ingestion steps. Added special-use AWS S3 and Azure BLOB source configuration parameters.

Doc viewer - Get new AI batch >+ creates batch but doesn't load it in viewer.

When reviewing documents from an AI batch, and after requesting a new AI batch at the end of the first one while still in the Document Viewer, both the Document Viewer and the Review Grid will refresh with the new documents from the AI batch.

As a user, I want to be able to send a document link via email.

The Email Document feature in the Document Viewer that allowed sending the original native file by email has been replaced by the Email Document Link feature, which sends a link to view the document inside the platform, for security considerations. Users can email the link to multiple users and include an optional note. Recipients of the link must login and authenticate successfully to see the document.

Enhanced the Manage Profile function with several convenience features, including the ability to double-click a field from the Add column to quickly move it to the Added column.

Provide more detailed warning when more terms exist in hit report than imported in Heatmap.

Small enhancement to the Import Terms feature of the Heatmap area to notify users if more terms exist in the imported Hit report than are allowed in the Heatmap Terms list (at the moment, the maximum is 20 terms).

Allow sorting in the Heatmap (pivot) view.

A convenience enhancement to the Heatmap, allowing users to sort the displayed result rows by one of the columns by clicking on the column heading. For performance considerations, the sorting only looks at the currently displayed page of results. It does not re-sort the results across all pages.

Allow pagination for rows in the Heatmap (pivot) view.

The Heatmap view now has increased flexibility in terms of the number of rows it can present. The rows when populated by metadata field values are no longer limited to an overall maximum, but all are returned over multiple pages, with up to 20 per page. The rows when populated by search terms are limited to 1000; previously the limit was 20.
Please note that the Download CSV function developed already will only create a CSV of what is shown on the current page for performance considerations. Also note, the select cell function will only work from selections on the current page - moving to a different page will reset any highlighted (selected) cells on the current one.

Add standard exit confirmation to Heatmap options modal.

User will be prompted if they want to discard changes to the Heatmap settings if they click Cancel and have made unsaved changes.

Combine BRS reports into SQL and run as a single metadata index.

This is a performance enhancement that combines multiple BRS analytic reports into a single report that adds to the speed in which data is added to a project, reduces database calls, and should ultimately lead to a more stable pipeline in adding analytic metadata to a project and reduce database contention.

Production Setting For Page Batch Size Added By File Type.

To assist with production imaging issues caused by very large files of certain types, the following new System Setting was added: TaskQueueProductionImagingPageBatchSizeByFileType. This setting defaulted to 50 or 100, but now can be set with custom values as noted below.

This system setting value should be a string of one or more key value pairs, delimited by semicolons, the key being a lowercase file extension, followed by a colon (“:”), and then the value should be a numeric integer specifying a Page Batch File chunk size, which is the number of pages to chunk together in a batch. Four complete example values for the TaskQueueProductionImagingPageBatchSizeByFileType system setting:

Add imaging task consumer retrying.

Added retry logic to deal with non-fatal imaging issues that may be addressed by retrying the image of certain documents.

Add information on the Exclusion category that caused a document to not be imaged in the processing summary report, including whether or not the document is redacted when the job ran.

Added fields to the production job report for Redactions and Exclusion Category. The addition of these fields will make it easier for users to understand the reason why documents were either excluded or not. This is particularly useful when the Always Image Redacted documents checkbox on the imaging tab is used. This is also helpful if a document might fall into multiple exclusion categories or if the document has a Privilege tag applied and there is a Privilege slip sheet rule in place. Users can filter on the various columns to identify the different scenarios as part of a QC process after running a preprocessing report and before running the actual production job.

The behavior of the Bulk Update has been updated when it comes to the Fields portion of Update modal, specifically for operations to insert After Existing Value or Before Existing Value. Those operations will now be limited to only fields of type Text, because they are not relevant for other field types.

Fixes an issue where the fields related to assignment jobs that track which batch folders the documents reside in and who the batch is assigned to aren't being reflected in the document grid/elastic search index and, therefore, are not available for filter or for search.

Cluster Wheel Chokes on 0 Width Terms.

Corrected a very specific edge case, where a character with a width of 0 (such as is the case if a term is the Unicode character U+200D) could cause the Cluster Wheel to render incorrectly.

Candy Bar Doesn't Reflect Empty Docs in Full Case Count.

An earlier change in 11.6 in default behavior of how a specific field (DUPTYPE) is populated for documents with no text resulted in an issue where those documents would not be reflected in the Duplicate widget of the Dashboard, thus making that widget not add up to 100% of the documents in the project. This has been corrected and documents with no text will show again in the NOT ANALYZED category of the Duplicate widget. If a project was created in 11.6, a re-index in 11.7 may be necessary to correct this widget, if it's of particular concern for a project. In that case, re-index extracted or OCR text set but just for “Unindexed and error“ documents in Review Manager. This should be a much quicker and easier re-indexing process.

Admins Views > Searches - Deleting a new folder with searches doesn't show the warning message.

Resolves an issue where a user wasn't being presented with the appropriate warning modal when attempting to delete a saved search folder from the Admin views node.

Grid - Type Error when retrying grid action [on 11.7 but not 11.6].

Corrected an edge case where a user could see an error on the grid if they canceled a bulk action from the grid and retried to open the bulk action again.

Grid indicators search doesn't work.

The Grid indicator (icon field) search from Advanced Search Builder used an older query format that always returned all documents as results after query format for icon fields was updated in other areas of the application. The query format has now been updated in the grid indicators search.

Sorting Updates Incorrectly on Grid Pages >1.

Corrected issue on the Review Grid, where the wrong active page indicator was shown if the user had previously been on that page but executed a new search afterwards. New search always sends the user to page 1, but sometimes the indicator would show a different number while the user was still actually on page 1.

Term List Search > Save as Report: "Open Hit Reports in new tab" opens wrong tab.

Corrected the destination in the secondary browser tab when saving hit reports from the Term List search. The browser tab opens the Hit Reports page instead of the parent Wordlists section.

Addresses an issue where documents that may reside in multiple slipsheet categories and the user also uses the 'Always Image redacted documents' might not categories in the expected category.

R11 Production Export DAT Files are outputting a Forward '/' (forward slash) instead of '\' (back slash) in Text Path.

Search count preview not reflecting search profiles.

Corrected issue specific to selecting Search profiles in the search builder and the immediate counts provided in the builder. While the search results were reflective of the profile, the preview document count provided information as if the search profile was not selected. This has been resolved.

Result Count on Search Bar doesn't refresh after canceling the search.

Corrected scenario where the result count briefly showed the previous count if a user opened the search builder again after adding more pills to an existing search but then cancelled instead of executing the search.

Saved searches / search history allow for referencing deleted folders.

Deleted folders may be referenced in saved searches and/or search history items. While this does not inherently cause a problem, it does create a scenario where the results will be affected by the change. This item adds proactive alerts for the user without having to expand the saved search. There will be an icon at the search level indicating that there is an issue. When the search is expanded, the folder that is no longer present will have different styling. There will be a tooltip on the folder that indicates to the user that the folder has been deleted/is no longer accessible.

Race condition when indexing metadata and also tagging docs or work product actions at the same time.

Corrected an issue that occurred if dataset metadata indexing, such as during incremental document ingestion, was ongoing while a bulk tag update or other work product update was triggered by users. Previously, these concurrent operations could cause a state where the tag updates that occurred specifically during the metadata indexing window were saved but not reflected when showing doc counts or performing searches until a subsequent metadata re-indexing job would be started. With the fix, up-to-date counts and search results of such work product updates require no further or manual action and will automatically be reflected as soon as the original metadata indexing job completes.

User is not able to switch between Term List views when there are blank lines in Plain Text textbox.

When users had added blank lines in Plain Textbox of the Term List, an error screen was displayed instead of expected Table view. This has been corrected.
