Review Timeout Considerations

Article summary

There is a system-wide timeout setting in Reveal, where any action should refresh that timer. The default inactivity timeout is thirty (30) minutes. This secures the workspace if a review workstation is left unattended.

This applies even when a user has multiple Reveal tabs open, such as for Project Management or Doc Viewer. If a user is reviewing a document in another tab or window, the main Reveal Dashboard, Grid, or Clusters page should remain logged in as well

As Reveal transitions its page design, it has been noted that the timeout is only being enforced if the user has a .net/aspx page (legacy Reveal doc viewer, Jobs pages, Project Admin, etc.) open. If Reveal is only in the new React interface (Dashboard / Grid / Clusters, new Doc viewer and Project Administration pages) with no legacy page open, no timeout period is currently enforced.
