You can save the layout of the different explorers, work areas, and panels in the TRIAL DIRECTOR EVIDENCE Main Menu. You can save several different layouts that fit any specific workflow and load them later as required.

To save a layout, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the EVIDENCE tab in the left navigation panel.

  1. Open the specific case by double-clicking the case name in the Cases table. Alternatively, you can select the appropriate case name, then click the Open Case button in the ribbon bar above the table.

  1. Open the Layouts drop-down menu.

  1. Click the Save Layout button within the Layouts drop-down menu.

    The Save Layout dialog box appears.

  1. Enter a name for the layout.

    You can enter a name for the new layout to help you remember what it is for.

    You may also set the layout as the default layout by selecting the check box. If you choose this option, the layout displays as the Default Layout option in the Layouts drop-down menu.

  1. Click the Save button.

    The layout is saved and is added to the Layouts drop-down menu in the Main Menu.

    Note:

    When using the Document explorer, you can rearrange the columns in the grid. You can save these layout changes to a new layout or, if you click Save Layout and type in the name of the layout you are working in, the sort order for the columns will be saved to the existing layout.
