Corporate Suite Solution Guidance

For customers licensing Reveal's Corporate Suite, use Reveal Hold to notify and preserve, Onna to collect and cull, and Logikcull to process, review and produce. How you combine them depends on one question: do you already know which custodians are relevant to the legal matter, or are you starting from keywords to find them?

How to use this guide

Find your row in the matrix by answering two questions, then read across to see what steps are recommended for each product in the suite.

  1. What is your starting point?

    • Known custodians — you know who to target (named employees).

    • Keywords/Filters — you know what to look for (terms, date ranges) but not yet who holds it.

  2. Where does the data live? Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

A blank cell means that product has no role in that scenario. The native tools (Microsoft Purview and Google Vault) are included where they add value, because they can search an entire tenant before custodians are known.

Both paths end in the same place; the keyword path simply adds a discovery step up front to find the custodians.

When you know the custodians

  1. Reveal Hold — Create the matter, add custodians, send hold notices and apply in-place preservation.

  2. Onna — Collect each custodian's data from M365 or Google Workspace, scoped by date range.

  3. Onna — Search and cull to remove irrelevant data before it moves downstream.

  4. Logikcull — Import the culled set, then process, review and produce.

  5. Purview or Google Vault — Run the keyword search across the whole organization.

  6. Purview or Google Vault — Review search results by mailbox or account to identify the relevant custodians.

  7. Reveal Hold — Add the identified custodians to the matter, send hold notices and preserve in place.

  8. Onna — Collect the identified custodians' data and refine the search.

  9. Logikcull — Import the results, then analyze, review, and produce.

When you have keywords but not custodians

Tips and considerations

  • Preserve before you collect. Put custodians on hold in Reveal Hold as soon as they are identified, even if collection comes later.

  • Match the path to matter size. Small matters with a few custodians can go straight from collection into Logikcull; large collections should be culled in Onna first to control review volume.

  • Search broadly, then narrow. In the keyword path, start with broad terms to find custodians, then apply tighter terms and date ranges in Onna.

  • Act early on terminated employees. Collect in Onna before IT deprovisions the account or reassigns the license.

  • Keep one custodian list. Use the Reveal Hold matter as the system of record so Onna collections and Logikcull reviews stay in sync.
