Run and Download a Production Export Job

After you create a Production Export Job, it will appear in the Production Export table with a Created status. You can manage your Production Export Jobs from this table, as well as perform preprocessing actions via the dropdown underneath the status column.

Production Export Statuses

A Production Export Job can have any of the following statuses:

Document with highlighted sections and important notes for review and analysis.

Created – A Production Export Job has been created.

A gear icon representing settings or configuration options in a digital interface.

Pending – A Production Export Job is waiting to run. This appears immediately after selecting Start in the dropdown.

In Progress – A Production Export Job is running.

Cancel Pending – A Production Export Job has been canceled, but is in the process of stopping.

Failed – A Production Export Job has failed its run.

A green check mark indicating approval or completion in a document or presentation.

Complete – A Production Export Job has finished its run.

At any time, you can press the refresh  Diagram illustrating a process with highlighted steps and arrows indicating flow direction.  icon in the upper left of the screen next to Production, which updates your table if Production Export Job statuses have changed.

Production Export Actions

Click the arrow next to the status icon for any Production Export Job to perform any of the following actions. A confirmation popup will prompt you to confirm your action. Available actions in the dropdown vary based on the status of your Production Export Job.

  • See Details: Preview and/or edit settings for your Production Export Job.

  • Start: Run your Production Export Job.

  • View Errors: See errors in a failed Production Export Job.

  • Download: Download a completed Production Export Job directly to your computer.

  • Generate Sharable Link: Copy a sharable link tied to your completed Production Export Job, allowing others do download it outside of Reveal.

  • Hide: Visibly remove the Production Export Job from the table.

    • Hidden jobs can be shown by checking the Show Hidden Jobs box to the upper right of the table, which appears only if at least one job has been hidden. Hidden jobs made visible with this checkbox are italicized to distinguish from other jobs.

  • Unhide: Bring a hidden job back to visibility.

  • Delete: Remove the Production Export Job.

Preview Your Production Export Job

To see a preview of your Production Export Job:

  1. Open the Status dropdown.

  2. Choose See Details.

  3. The Production Export Setup modal will open. Navigate to the now-visible Preview tab. This shows document export metadata, production numbering, and page counts. Here, you can also edit your export settings in any of the other tabs, then:

    • Click Edit to change your settings.

    • Click Save as New to create another Production Export Job with your edits.

    • Cancel to remove your changes.

Run a Production Export Job

To start your Production Export Job:

  1. Open the Status dropdown.

  2. Choose Start.

  3. A confirmation popup will appear. Click Yes to start your job.

Once the job starts, a grey gear will appear next to the the Status dropdown for your job. The gear will turn green and spin while the job is running. A finished, successful job will contain a green checkmark in the status column, marking it ready to download.

Download and Share Your Export

When the job is complete, two new options will appear in the Status dropdown.

  • Generate Sharable Link – Create a sharable link others can use to download the export through Reveal Download Manager.

  • Download – Download the production export onto your computer.

Generate Sharable Link

In the Status dropdown, selecting Generate Sharable Link opens the Production Export Files modal, where you can:

  • Get Download Manager application, which lets you download exports using download tokens.

    • See Download an Archive for more information on how to use Download Manager, which functions the same for downloading exports.

  • Get Download Token, which copies a token (in the form of a link) for the entire export to your clipboard. You can share this token with individuals who are not Reveal users, like an opposing counsel.

    • Token links will regenerate if you refresh the page, or close and reopen the Production Files Export modal.

    • Each newly generated token is valid for 7 days, after which it expires.

  • Click the clipboard icon to the right of each row to generate a download token for an individual volume.

Warning

Please be careful when sharing Download Tokens, since anyone with the token can download your production export for 7 days, even if the token has already been used by another individual. There is no way to revoke a token after it has been generated.

Download

In the Status dropdown, selecting Download opens the Production Export Files modal, where you can:

  • Download your export using the Download button on the upper right corner.

    • See Download an Archive for more information on how to use Download Manager, which functions the same for downloading exports.

Note

If the export is particularly large, it may not be downloadable from the Production Export Files modal and require assistance from an Administrator with access to Reveal Review Manager.

  • Get Download Manager application, which lets you download exports using download tokens.

  • Get Download Token, which copies a token (in the form of a link) for the entire export to your clipboard.

  • Download individual volumes by clicking the download icon to the right of each row.

    • Image Load Files – Contains OPT or LFP load files. At minimum, 2 load files will be present (a singular load file for it's respective volume, and a "Combined" load file containing all records from all volumes).

    • Data Load Files – Contains the data load file, e.g. Concordance or CSV. At minimum, 2 load files will be present (a singular load file for it's respective volume, and a "Combined" load file containing all records from all volumes).

    • Numerical Volumes (e.g. 1, 2…) – Contains all files, depending on selection in Production Export Job (i.e. Natives, Texts, and/or Images).
