Blackout Redactions

Users can now expand a cell into a modal view to read its full content and associated comments, perform partial redactions directly within the expanded view, and see the updates instantly reflected in the main grid after saving.

Import

A new “Extract Children” project setting has been added to the Processing configuration; when this setting is unchecked, no extraction will occur at all during import, leaving all files, including embedded objects and attachments, the same as imported. This setting is permanent, and cannot be reversed after a project has been created.

The Extract Children checkbox is behind a feature flag and turned off by default. It will not appear in your environment unless it is manually enabled by Reveal.

Processing and ECA Grid

The side-by-side document preview feature is now available in the Processed Files grid under the Processing section and in the ECA grid. It allows users to view documents on the right side of the screen without leaving the current page, while maintaining existing functionality in the Review Grid.

Review Manager

Users attempting to delete a company in the Review Manager will now see an error message if the company has associated clients, while companies without associated clients can be deleted successfully.

Time Zone

Users can now set their preferred time zone in "Language" section of the system Settings, so all dates and times across the application—including timestamps in standardized tables displaying job or action information (such as Archives), the Assignments table, and the “Last Built” values for Build Document Folders and Rebuild Document Data—are displayed in the chosen time zone instead of UTC. This change applies only to system-generated timestamps. For more details on this, visit the Customize Review Experience article.

New Rounds Range for Run columns have been added across tables in the Hybrid GenAI Reviews area. This allows users to easily view the range of rounds associated with each Hybrid GenAI Review directly within the table, since multiple Hybrid GenAI Reviews in the same workflow are just a continuation of training the same underlying SVM classifier.

Updated the UI to address outdated rating statuses. The statuses No Partitions Found and Not Analyzed have been removed, as they are no longer in use. Others, including Classification Errored, Server Error, and Client Side Validation Failed have been combined into a single unified GenAI Analysis Errored status. All other statuses remain the same.

Default Project Views

Updated the default project configuration so that new projects automatically apply standard view settings. When a new project is created, the Default View under Settings > Views is now set to “Native PDF View,” and the Text Set Display option is automatically set to “Native View.”

Updated the header information in native rendering for Teams and RSMF to accurately reflect all participants in the conversation, not just those active within a specific 24-hour slice. The “People” count and participant list in the header now include everyone in the chat.

The “Language” field has been removed from the “Edit User” and “Create User” modals to eliminate confusion, as the application’s language is controlled only in the project-level settings.

The saved searches display is updated to show the associated search profile (if one was used) as a single line of text above the search query when expanded.

Users can now see the search profile in the saved search modal even if they lack access to it, as long as the saved search is active.

System Settings

Added a system setting, ColorDetectionMaxPages, to limit the number of pages checked during Native View color detection, where a value greater than 0 checks up to the set limit and a value of 0 or less checks all pages.
